A Brief Overview of the Normandy Liberty Bell
The Normandy Liberty Bell (NLB) is an exact replica of America’s icon of freedom, the Liberty Bell.Cast at a foundry in Normandy, France, in May, 2004, the NLB is the end product of a vision of Mr.Patrick Daudon, a native of Normandy. Mr. Daudon, a super champion of freedom, envisioned the Bell being placed in or near the American military cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy (Omaha Beach). The Bell would be a symbol of liberty regained at Normandy on June 6, 1944 and a fitting memorial to the thousands of allied troops who perished there in liberties ongoing cause. Many of the white crosses at Normandy bear the names of Philadelphians. Part of Mr. Daudons vision is to transport the NLB from Philadelphia, to California, following it’s appearance at the Let Freedom Ring ceremony at Independence Hall, July 4, 2005. The vision calls for the NLB to trace the same route to California that our Liberty Bell traversed in 1915. When rung, it’s sound will be a sound unheard since 1753.

Le 26 novembre à Caen, l'Amiral Brac de La Perrière, Président de Normandie Mémoire et Stéphane Laloë, Président du Normandy Liberty Bell Club de France ont signé une convention pour favoriser le grand voyage de la Normandy Liberty Bell (Auteur-Concepteur Patrick Daudon) à travers les USA en 2005 et 2006.
